About Travis Hickling

Travis is a dedicated Optical Department Manager at the Costco Wholesale, on Barnes Road in Colorado Springs. He ensures quality service and customer satisfaction every day. Travis is certified by the American Board of Opticianry and the National Contact Lens Examiners (ABO-NCLE), the world's largest and most prestigious Opticians’ certification organization, recognizing individuals whose Opticianry skills and knowledge meet predetermined standards of excellence.

Travis earned his associate's degree from Colorado Springs Early College, a charter high school, in 2010 and his bachelor degree in science from Colorado Technical University in 2014. He has been employed by Costco Wholesale since 2012, working in several departments before transferring to the Optical Department in 2014.

Travis Hickling is the son of Carol and Carl Hickling. He was born in Gulfport, Mississippi, but moved to Colorado Springs just a few days later. Although he is an Air Force Brat, he has called Colorado Springs home his entire life. He was homeschooled with his sister, Teresa Elaine, until he started public high school in 2007. Travis started as a BSA Tiger Cub in 1997, earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 2008, and served as a Junior Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 199 for several years, mentoring younger troop members. Travis also attended Universal Kempo Karate School for many years and earned his black belt in the art of self-defense.
